The duARTS@Duke Kunshan University Arts Exchange program student-led arts programming initiative to transform the creative landscape at Duke’s new university in China. Duke Kunshan University, situated near Shanghai, China, is Duke's recently created sister university originally focused on business management and the sciences. The university, a liberal arts college modeled after Duke's model of education, is a space that caters to many students: some Duke students studying abroad, but predominantly students from the surrounding region, who has never experienced Duke as it is in the United States. The goal of the duARTS@DKU Art Exchange is to collaborate across Duke in Durham and in Kunshan to develop arts programming that will enrich both campuses.

Eight Duke students were selected to participate in the launch of the program starting in Fall 2015, a trip to Kunshan to implement arts workshops and experience the DKU community in Spring 2016, culminating in a gallery exhibition at Duke Fall 2016.
