Applications are now closed for the 2020 duARTS @DKU Spring Break Arts Exchange.  



WHO: Duke students who are passionate about the arts and establishing relationships through the arts at Duke Kunshan University. If you are selected to attend, all costs (except visa applications) for this trip will be covered. 


WHAT: In 2016, duARTS hosted the first duARTS @DKU arts exchange, with the goal of collaborating between Duke and Duke Kunshan University (DKU) to enrich both campuses through the arts. This year, duARTS is looking to take another group of students to DKU to further deepen that relationship. For more information on the 2016 trip, visit

WHERE: Duke Kunshan University (Kunshan, China)

WHEN: March 7 - March 14, 2020 


  • Duke students will become familiar with the campus and academic life at Duke Kunshan University, and build relationships with DKU students who are potentially coming to Duke for a semester starting in the 2020-2021 academic year. 

  • Duke students will have conversations with DKU students about the arts in relation to their academic and extracurricular lives, enabling students from both campuses to learn from each others' arts endeavors. 

  • Duke students that go on this trip will be responsible for collaborating on one event during their time at DKU. Examples may include collaborating with a DKU student arts group, leading a seminar with arts faculty, or hosting workshops on the intersections of the arts and other disciplines.
